Comic-book Commission! (Part 2)

My lazy ass forgot to post the second artwork commissioned by my friend Chuck, meant to give a ‘factual’ recollection of his motorcycling adventures in Nevada. Each panel took a long time of research and preparation. I’m particularly proud of the second and third one.

Ghost Rider is an interesting character. I guess the reason I find it interesting is because it’s a modern reinterpretation of the classic Grim Reaper, portrayed as a mix between a Justice Warrior and the Angel of Death. I also find him interesting because of what I read in Whitley Strieber’s Communion re. one of his early childood’s ‘memories’ of seeing some sort of skeleton riding a contraption that looked like a motorcycle. The simplistic interpretation is that it was a thin alien on board somer sort of vehicle, but as you may well know by now, I don’t have much taste for ‘simplistic’ when it comes to the paranormal…

Again, a very challenging project –motorcycles are sexy beasts, but they are A BITCH to draw, even with references– but if you’re not doing something that takes you out of your comfort zone, you’re not pushing yourself hard enough.
